The Central Coast is attractive to many property buyers due to its ‘lifestyle’, proximity to Sydney and affordability relative to that in Sydney.
It would be normal to compare the Central Coast Lifestyle to that of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Beaches, National Parks, lakes, strong coastal community, parks, good schools, and the list goes on. However, the Northern Beaches has a median house price of $2,776,500 (May 2022) and some property buyers looking to enter the market or better their lifestyle do not have the budget.
The Central Coast median house price is $950,000 (May 2022). Most certainly you can get a 3 bedroom home for less, maybe around $750,000 but that is not appealing to all buyers. Most out of area buyers enter the Central Coast property market around the 1.2-2m range to be in good communities, and nearby to beaches, cafes and easily accessible to Sydney’s CBD.
If you are looking to purchase a property in the Central Coasts most affluent areas you might be looking for a beach home or an acreage. For a nice home, walking distance to the beach on the Central Coast you might need a minimum budget of 1.5 million. For an acreage, with a nice family home, starting point might be 2 million.
These price points are extremely attractive for property buyers looking for more ‘home’ and ‘lifestyle’ in their next purchase and makes the Central Coast an attractive consideration.
